Howard County Plan Commission Board Special Meeting on proposed Solar Park, Tues, June 17, 5:30 P.M.

First,  the commissioners delayed this project due to an unclear drainage concern the company behind this project did not address in a timely manner, then it was postponed again so the company could discuss with the individual homeowners who would be affected could reach a drainage agreement; and then an actual Moratorium was placed  on this project due to the uncertainty of SB1 and it’s effect on our property taxes.  We thought that would be the end of it, but somehow it was approved at the last meeting in spite of the Moratorium on new projects.    This is a special meeting for the public to express their opinion on  the proposed Solar Farm coming to the Greentown area.  We urge you to come to this meeting, wear a red tee shirt and join us in resisting this terrible use of our Farmland.
